Sports started on the Damascus swim team at age 6, played baseball in the Damascus Area Baseball League (DABL) and swam many years in both Potomac Valley Swimming (PVS) and Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL). Matt also played basketball in middle school and in high school at New Life Christian School in Frederick County, Maryland. However it was through swimming he learned the importance of self improvement, teamwork and leading by example. Matt competed for four years at Grove City College in Pennsylvania on both the Men\u2019s Varsity Swimming and Men\u2019s Varsity Water Polo Teams, eventually chosen as a team captain of both his senior year.Athletes Become LeadersAthletes in the pool, court, or field spend much of their time competing against their own technique and every time they jump in the pool, strap on the cleats or jersey it\u2019s an opportunity to get faster, stronger and smarter.
