National Night Out in Charles County
On Tuesday, August 1st, Southern Maryland joined millions across the country with its own participation. 55 Communities in Charles County participated in the annual get together with each neighborhood having its own style. Neighborhoods in Waldorf had DJ’s, live music and dancing, while many in La Plata featured moon bounces and raffles. Every neighborhood made sure to have plenty of food.
Fire trucks, police cruisers and EMT demonstrations were among the highlights for the children in Charles County. Matthew’s son, Decker particularly enjoyed the ambulances and cotton candy.
