Nominations are open to all first responders in Charles County and all of Southern Maryland, including:

  • Firefighters
  • Emergency Response Teams
  • Public Safety Providers
  • Emergency Hospital Facilities and Workers
  • Military Servicemembers
  • Other Emergency Personnel

Make Your Hometown Hero Nomination



Anyone can nominate a first responder by completing the nomination form to recognize their Hometown Hero.


Submissions should be 300+ words, formatted essay style, and outline why the nominee should be considered a hometown hero.
