That’s why we’ve signed on as a Home Run Sponsor for the Southern Maryland GRIT, a competitive travel baseball team for boys 10 and under.
The GRIT is part of the Chesapeake Baseball Association. The purpose of the team goes beyond simply playing ball. Organizers use baseball as a way to teach children about the importance of a growth mindset and developing the strength, or grit, to persevere in the face of challenges.
The team is playing in two to four tournaments during 2020 and likely double that number in 2021.
