Trollinger Law LLC plans to reward high school seniors who have already made community outreach a priority in their lives. The Trollinger Law Community Impact Scholarship will award $500 to one senior from each of Charles Countyās seven public high schools for the best essay describing their service work, its personal significance, and how their work will continue to impact their lives.
Application Requirements
Students have until April 15, 2026, to submit their essays.
To qualify for the Trollinger Law Community Impact Scholarship, applicants must:
Be a senior at a Charles County public high school
Have a minimum GPA of 3.5
Be accepted to and planning to attend a post-secondary institution, including a university, community college, or vocational school
What to Include in the Scholarship Essay
Your essay should be 500 words and clearly answer each question in the following prompt:
Community service can create lasting change beyond a single event or project. Explain how your service work has inspired you to continue making a difference in the future. How do you plan to build on this experience to serve others as you pursue your education and career goals?
Please include a copy of your resume when submitting your essay.
NOTE: Any use of AI to produce or assist with your essay will disqualify you from the application process and result in immediate removal from consideration.

All applicants must meet the criteria in the Application Requirements. In addition, you must:
- Be a U.S. resident
- Be in good academic standing at a Charles County high school
- Provide personal information, including your name, contact details, and academic information
Do NOT apply if you:
- Do not have parent/guardian consent
Applicants (or their parent or guardian if the applicant is under 18 at the time the scholarship is awarded) must sign a release granting permission for the use of their name, image, likeness, and essay content before scholarship funds are disbursed.
Selection and Notification Process
The scholarship selection process does not discriminate based on age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, or any other protected class. Once a winner is selected, the scholarship committee will contact only the recipient of the best-written essay.
Students who are not selected will not receive notification. We encourage all applicants to check the Trollinger Law LLC website for updates on the scholarship winner.
The scholarship award will be sent directly to the winning student's chosen college, university, or trade school's Financial Aid Office.
